On Hold

I've enjoyed blogging these past couple of months. It's been a wonderful creative experience. I'm so grateful I got to try this again! However, some projects have come up that will take time away from writing future posts. I will put this blog on hold as of today. If this is the first post you've read, I invite you to check out and enjoy previous posts in which I share reflections on the art making process and the back story from a selection of paintings I've created these past few years. You can stay in touch and follow me on Instagram @ruthborgesart, and/or visit my artist Facebook Page at Ruth Borges, Visual Artist.

Welcome!

So excited to start blogging again! I’ll be writing about creativity, the process of art making, faith, and more. I’ll be sharing some of the things I’ve learned from experimenting with art materials and techniques. You’ll also read about the layers of meaning that surface during and/or after a piece is completed. Some of the paintings have become reminders of things God wants me to remember or learn. They are gems I don’t want to lose sight of. So, I decided to write about them and share with you.

About the photo: I love metaphors. See if you can find the very tiny little speck on the bristles of the big brown brush in this post’s photo. That’s me all excited and hanging on for the ride to discover and learn. Looking forward to sharing my art journey with you. Maybe you’ll see yourself or someone you know in the stories you’ll read. I invite you to subscribe, comment, and share. Thanks so much for stopping by!
